Mrs. McFadden

I was the oldest child in the family, and I so wanted a little brother.  When my sister Karla came along I was NOT happy.  First, she was a girl.  Geez.  Then, I had to share a room with her.  GEEZ.   She wanted to follow me around even though there were years between us, and she wanted to do what I did and wear my clothes and man alive, what a pain.  :(

When I finally got old enough to get some perspective - and we are talking YEARS here - I realized what an incredible gift my sister was in my life.  She is always there for me, always loves me, always makes me smile.  We fight - and we fight pretty seriously - but we are both 100% committed to ALWAYS making up, to making it right, to staying in relationship.  We have grown into Very Different people.  Karla is creative in very different ways than I am, has different perspectives on just about everything, is always on time, has everything planned, is all about solving things.  She is beautiful - not only on the outside, but on the inside.  She has always been loyal and loving and she is a GIFT in my life.

Happy birthday, most beautiful, blue eyed, gentle hearted, wonderful, loving, dearest sister.  You bring great joy, and I thank you with all my heart.
